Welcome to MooduTools. By accessing moodutools.com (the "Site") and using its browser-based on-device text tools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Service

MooduTools provides a free, browser-based suite of text productivity tools — a prompt builder, a tone shifter, and a smart summarizer — powered by a lightweight in-browser WebGPU LLM (WebLLM). The Service is free to use with no account, email, or payment required, and all features are available directly in the browser.

2. On-Device Processing & License to Use the Software

The Service is designed to run entirely in your browser. Your prompts and generated text are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored by us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful personal or commercial activities as permitted herein. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service itself, its code, or its underlying assets.

3. Ownership of & License to Your Output

The rewritten text, prompts, and summaries you create are generated for you. You may use, share, and publish your generated text for personal and commercial purposes as long as you create lawful, non-infringing material. By generating content, you agree that you will only create material you are entitled to make. Because all output is produced locally on your device, we neither own nor store your creations, and the rights granted to you are subject solely to the acceptable-use rules below.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Generate content for unlawful purposes, or that is defamatory, threatening, obscene, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to disrupt the Site, its servers, or the experience of other users
• Use automated scripts to abuse, overload, or scrape the Site in ways inconsistent with its purpose

5. Intellectual Property

The Site itself — text, design, code, logo, and example presets — is the property of MooduTools and is protected by applicable laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute the Site's own design or code without permission. Content you generate with the Service is yours as described above. Your use of the Service grants you no rights in any trademarks, logos, or branding of MooduTools beyond their display on the Site.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free availability, and generation depends on your browser's support for in-browser WebGPU inference and the one-time download of the lightweight model weights (cached locally via the browser's Cache API). Use of the Service is at your sole risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MooduTools is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Site or Service, including loss of downloads, data, or other intangible losses. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero).

7. Modifications & Governing Law

We may modify or discontinue the Site or any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
